Comments
Apulia 4 is a worm from 1999. This worm requires Winzip to be installed or else it will not infect correctly. Also note that if your Winzip is not registered it will attempt to register it for you. The worm attempts to spread via email (sends a email attachment with the subject "Crack for ICQ" to everyone in your outlook address book). The worm copies itself as mIRCplus.exe, ICKrack.exe and WlN.com.

How To Remove
Quick fix: no quick fix programs
Manual removal:

  1. Remove the WIN key in the registry located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run  Which can be done with regedit or any other registry editing program.
  2. Delete the trojan files: ICKrack.exe, mIRCplus.exe, WlN.COM (capital W lower l capital N) and WIN.VBS. These trojan files could be any where and will have to be searched for.
