Dark FTP 1.1 is a Spanish trojan. Dark FTP is an invisible FTP server. The server lets anyone with a FTP client connect. Being a FTP server means that the "hacker" can upload, download and delete files. Dark FTP also logs on to IRC, where it broadcasts that you are infected. Version 1.1 now disables @Guard when the server is first run. Also, the server can make Windows restart or shutdown, which is controlled over IRC.

Manual removal:

  1. Remember the value (trojan location) MSRegScan key in the registry located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and then remove the MSRegScan key. Which can be done with regedit or any other registry editing program. 
  2. Reboot the computer or close trojan file listed in the registry.
  3. Delete the trojan file listed in the registry.
