Comments 
In theory "all you need to know" is to telnet to port 1981 on the infected host. We tried that and nothing happened. So, we don't know much about what this trojan does.

How To Remove 
Quick fix: no quick fix programs
Manual removal:

  1. Remove the NetworkPopup key in the registry located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices  Which can be done with regedit or any other registry editing program 
  2. Reboot the computer or close netpopup.exe.
  3. Delete the trojan file netpopup.exe in the windows directory.
