Comments 
SubSeven 2.2 beta 1 is the first public release of the new 2.2 version. This version includes limited features since features are now being made via plugins and there are no plugins released. The server is written in assembly language and is around 60K in size. This version also has a new client which no one likes since it is very confusing. However the next versions should have a easier client.

How To Remove 
Quick fix: no quick fix programs
Manual removal:

  1. Remove the Loader key in the registry located at either HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices. Which can be done with regedit or any other registry editing program.
  2. Open the system.ini(Usually c:\windows\system.ini) and change the key: shell=Explorer.exe c:\windows\sytem\some random name.exe under [boot], to shell=explorer.exe. This can be done with any text editing program. 
  3. Open the win.ini(Usually c:\windows\win.ini) and remove the key: load=c:\windows\system\some random name.exe under [Windows], this can be done with any text editing program.
  4. Reboot the computer or close the trojan. 
  5. Delete the trojan file in the windows system directory.
